Chilled Kids is a unique Brisbane company offering a range of educational services for children with additional learning needs. We provide quality, highly individualised academic tuition and classes to children with a broad range of abilities. We cater for those who have received a diagnosis such as Autism or Speech Language Impairment, as well as children who simply need a bit of extra help to maintain attention and focus.
As Director of Chilled Kids my aim is to ensure children with special needs experience success at school and achieve positive outcomes. This area of education has been my passion for many years. I began teaching in a Special School after graduating with a Bachelor of Education in Special Education over 9 years ago. I have worked in various settings including Special Education Units, Special Schools and mainstream Schools. When I left full time teaching to start a family, I was working as Acting Head of Curriculum in a wonderful Special School in Ipswich.
I strongly believe in every child’s right to a quality education. I recognise that raising a child with additional learning needs can be a challenge but that equipping them with knowledge and skills can help contribute to a calm and happy family life.
