I’ve played soccer all my life and built my skills with many representative teams, including Queensland and Australia. I started coaching because I wanted to share the fun and enjoyment soccer brings me. I’m a qualified referee and have a certificate in Junior coaching, and I spent the last five years working with U7s & U8s. Kids are the best to coach!!!

I started coaching with the local U8 soccer team while in high school. I’ve since been able to deliver school coaching clinics to primary schoolchildren across the Brisbane area.

I’ve had years of experience and lots of success coaching soccer, most recently with the U15/16 Pine Rivers boys’ team who were champions and Premiers for 2011. Before that, I coached representative sides for the North Zone at the U9 to U13 levels. I hold a Junior, Youth, and Senior coaching licence which is recognised by the FFA.

What I Love About Coaching Children:

Coaching Experience:

A lot of my best coaching experience and memories come from Ginger Sport funny enough. My only other coaching experience outside of here is that I looked after the Junior Program at John Paul College a few years back. To say that I am stoked to be back here doing what I love most, would be the understatement of the year. I have played football my entire life. I was lucky enough to represent QLD at a club level and was selected to be the vice-captain. I have coached the Year 5 football team at St Laurence’s College and it was a pleasure to pass on my knowledge to the next generation of football superstars. My first coaching experience was the Ginger Sport assessment trial. I came prepared with six games, focussing on soccer skills, ready to play. I had a blast and felt as though I connected with the kids well. The games involved turning equipment into objects such as eggs, fire etc and challenged me to get into character and be a bit silly.

What I Love About Coaching Children:

I love coaching children because I love spending time with kids. I love interacting with them, watching them develop and watching the look on their face when they do something right or perform a skill. Within the half an hour that I had with the kids, during the assessment session, many of my kids were developing skills quickly and celebrating when they got the ball in the goal or kicked the ball with strength.
